Anyone walking through Union Square in San Francisco would have a hard time missing the abundance of people still in line to enter the recently opened Japanese Retail Giant Uniqlo. This was a landmark event not only for San Francisco, but for Uniqlo as well as it was their first store on the west coast. Though many newspapers and blogged covered this event, Uniqlo released a Press Release on their own.
A major focus by Uniqlo’s leaders on the SF opening was to showcase their new technology and architecture. The unveiling of their “magic mirror” technology and illuminating staircases were a focal point of their marketing campaign. Ultimately, one of their main focuses was to “transform the Bay Area retail experience.”
